Where is Able Skills located?
The Able Skills training centre is open seven days a week including bank holidays and can be found in Dartford, Kent. The town lies along the south bank of the River Thames and is just 18 miles southeast of the centre of London.
Dartford is also known for the Dartford Crossing, the main route over the River Thames to the east of London, where the A282 (part of the London Orbital) crosses the river via the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge southbound and the Dartford Tunnel northbound.
Getting here
Once a market town in the medieval period, Dartford is now recognised as a key commuter hub meaning getting to the Able Skills training centre is incredibly easy, wherever you’re coming from.
Along with limited on-site parking, we have excellent rail and bus links and are ideally situated between Stansted and Gatwick Airports for our overseas visitors.
The centre is easily accessible by road, being just 10 minutes from junction 1a on the M25. We are also only a short walk from Dartford train station which is served by frequent trains taking just 35 minutes from central London.
Need somewhere to stay?
For anyone travelling from further afield, Able Skills now has three properties that offer affordable accommodation for the growing number of students choosing to train with us from all over the country and abroad.
All Able Skills properties are licensed HMO (Houses in Multiple Occupation) and are fully equipped in line with local authority standards.
The properties will provide you with your own fully furnished room with washing facilities and TV. There are several bathrooms/WCs as well as fully fitted kitchens and dining areas to eat and/or meet your fellow students.
All accommodation is located close to the training centre and some also have allocated parking.
