A predicted influx of prime property onto the market over the next few months could lead to a boost in employment opportunities for workers who have taken electrician training courses.

Primelocation.com recently revealed that it had identified more than 10,000 prime property sellers in England in December 2009 who had not yet found an agent to market their homes.

Some 21.8 per cent of these houses were found in the south-east of the country, while 14.4 were in London and 10.2 per cent were in Greater London.

The company suggested that this could lead to a surge of new property coming onto the market in the next few months, once the sellers find an estate agent.

And it could be that electricians find themselves in demand to carry out routine repairs and installations in the houses once new buyers are found.

Nigel Ellis, senior partner at Prickett & Ellis, commented on the findings by saying: "I'm delighted to hear it because around here everyone is saying there is not much on the market."
