Previous students & Instructor appear on the latest DIY SOS!

Did you catch last night's episode of DIY SOS? Well, we are happy to say that two previous students of ours and our long time instructor Terry appeared on the Bromley episode of the well known show. The show featured the team and their volunteers help the Newcombe family here in Kent, their two-year-old son Arlo has a lung condition so rare that it has never been seen in the UK before. His lungs must be constantly supported which has left him dependent on oxygen 24/7. Arlo is now allowed to be at home away from the hospital, however, he needs two highly trained carers on constant watch making family life and sleep very hard for his parents. Before the renovation, there home was not exactly suitable for this scenario so the team and army of volunteers transformed their space into a safe and suitable environment that Arlo and his family can call home!

It's great to see our old tiling instructor Terry involved with not only such a well known TV show but also working on a project that is for such a great cause. This renovation will change that families life for the better, two of our previous plastering students were also involved in the renovation, volunteering their skills to improve these peoples lives. Here at Able Skills we take pride in our ability to produce top-quality tradespeople like Kate & Ella, now known as @plasteredsisters on Instagram!
