Able Skills are delighted to announce the official opening of our state-of-the-art Renewables Centre.Mayor of Dartford Patrick Coleman was on hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon in front of a crowd of assembled members of the press, key industry partners and college faculty directors.The Mayor was incredibly impressed with the quality of equipment, training rigs and facilities available, which will help provide approved renewable energy courses to the highest standard.The Able Skills team helped to explain the workings of renewable technology such as heat pumps, grey and rainwater harvesting, solar PV and thermal, solar hybrid systems, underfloor heating and design and heat recovery and ventilation.Head of Renewables Jed Smith reaffirmed Able Skills' commitment to the future of renewable technology as an active member of the Solar Trade Association, the Ground Source Heat Pump Association and the Renewable Energy Association.The green energy market is beginning to blossom thanks to government legislation and with the introduction of new technologies; hundreds of thousands of jobs are expected to be created.Able Skills are proud to say that our renewable energy courses are accredited by City & Guilds, BPEC, and NICEIC, which are a requirement in order to become Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) registered.People interested in becoming renewable technology engineers are welcome to visit the new purpose built centre which truly is one of the most modern and impressive facilities in the country.
