Short Courses: Tiling students working hard

With more people looking to carry out personal projects in the New Year, our short courses have become very popular.

We offer lots of courses here at Able Skills and many of our students will come to gain a qualification in a trade. However, another popular route for Able Skills students is the short courses we offer on a weekly and weekend basis.

Our short courses are run across six of our trades and these five-day courses are extremely popular amongst people looking to carry out their own personal projects. DIY is very popular; however, it is advised not to carry out the work unless you have the skills to do it. Short courses at Able Skills gives you the basics in the trade that you train in.

Short courses at Able Skills are now available for 2017. Short courses at Able Skills are now available for 2017.

One of our busiest short courses is tiling, our students regularly come to Able Skills and complete a week of tiling training. Many have personal projects that they plan to complete after, some people just want to try it out before starting a new career.

The Introduction to Tiling course can also be run over weekends, this allows students that have working commitments to get the training they want. Both tiling instructors, Terry and Max work very hard to make sure every one of their students gets the best possible training during their time at Able Skills.

During this week five new students have started their tiling courses and the majority of them are on the introduction course to gain some skills for a personal project. Each day they have developed their skills and learnt more about the industry.

Here is a video of all five of the tiling students working during their shot courses at Able Skills. This is from day three of their course where they are just beginning to tile around a window area. Watch on our YouTube channel: Day 3 on the Introduction to Tiling course
