With Electricians taking a blow, up and down the country over the last year and throughout the three lockdowns that have happened in the UK you may think that it wouldn’t be a good time to become an Electrician however, with social restrictions eased recently now may be the perfect time to consider an Able Skills Electrical Qualification as the nation heads towards the “New Normal”. Through the dark months of lockdown over the winter, a lot of people did not want people coming into their homes to complete work that wasn’t essential. But now as the summer kicks in and we are allowed more freedom a return to domestic electrical work will return for a lot Electricians up and down the country. 

Here at Able Skills, we are happy to offer a wide variety of Electrical Courses that are suited to those of all levels of experience. With courses for complete novices who have no experience at all through too Electrical Courses for those who have been in the industry for years. The ideal place to start for those who are looking to take their first steps to become an Electrical Engineer would be our City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Qualification, this course will teach you how to be an Electrician from scratch! This industry-recognised course is designed to help develop your knowledge and skills as an Electrician in training! This course is a full-time course meaning you will be with us in our state-of-the-art training center Monday-Friday. However, if you are unable to commit to this then our Home Study courses may be perfect for you, these courses allow you to complete any theory work at home in your own time and you are only required to attend your practical sessions. Once you complete your Level 2 you may want to think about completing our City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Course, this course is the next step on the path to becoming a qualified Electrician. On this course, you will be taught everything you need to know when it comes to electrical science, fault finding, and so on. This qualification will be achieved with a mix of practical work in our workshops and theoretical work in our classrooms all lead by our highly skilled Electrical Instructors. Upon completion of this, you will be in the perfect position to enroll onto our Level 3 NVQ Electrical Qualification, this is achieved through you working on-site and demonstrating to assessor your competency when completing work out in the real world.
