It's business as usual here at Able Skills, we are continuing to provide comprehensive Electrician courses and many other training options. This week is no different as students take on practical tasks gaining valuable hands-on experience. Our Electrical courses are very popular, especially at the moment with so much uncertainty surrounding employment. Here at our training centre you can seek new opportunities through training that results in industry-recognised qualifications. Everyone who is aspiring to become a professional electrician will need to achieve a City & Guilds Level 2 qualification. Our City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course is 7-weeks in total and will give you a gret understanding of the fundamentals of electrics. Currently we have spaces on this course available starting from  June 21st in the coming year!

Our courses are well structured and will gradually introduce you to the trade through a mix of both hands-on practical experience and classroom-based theory sessions. Our instructors have years of experience both teaching and working out in the industry themselves. They will be on hand at all times to answer any questions, provide one-to-one time and will make sure that everybody in on the same page before moving forward. The course will cover a variety of subjects starting with the basics and as the weeks progress, touching on more advanced aspects of the trade. During the course you'll come to gain regulation knowledge, practical skills and understand the science required for electrical installation work; the aim as the course progresses will be to gain extensive knowledge of the theory of Electrics before taking on the relevant exams.

 

When can I start?

 

As stated, we do currently have spaces available on this courses starting from June 21st in the new year. Why not put this year behind you and start fresh in 2021 with electrician training. What's next?

 

Completing this course doesn't mean you are ready for work. However, this course will be the perfect starting point and ultimately will lay the foundation for you to build upon. So, what is next? Well, the next natural step from our Level 2 electrician course is our City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical course - This course in an additional 7-weeks of training that will expand on the previous course and will look to help you gain that next level of electrical knowledge and skills, providing an advanced understanding of electrical science, inspection and testing procedures as well as fault finding and general installation design. You will also need to understand the latest Wiring Regulations! The 'regs' also known as the 18th Edition is the guidelines for electrical installations and acts as the national standard for electrical installations  to ensure safe and correct work is being carried out. We offer a 3-day 18th Edition course at our centre.

For more information about the different Electrician courses that we offer give us a call on 01322 280 202 - Over the phone we are happy to assist you however we can, answer any questions, provide guidance and process your booking. You are also welcome to visit our training centre in person. Whilst here at our centre we can discuss the training options available and even show you around so that you can see for yourself the great work that we do here and what to expect from us. Our office is open 7-days-a-week between the hours of 8:30 - 16:30 at this time we do ask that you are conscious of social distancing and wear a face covering whilst talking to our staff.

 

Live too far away? If you live a considerable distance from our centre then you should know that we offer our own accommodation located just a short walking distance from our facility. The properties will provide you with your own fully furnished room with washing facilities and TV. There are several bathrooms/WCs as well as fully fitted kitchens and a dining areas to eat and/or meet your fellow students. Our accommodation can be booked for the reasonable price of just £20 per night! - If you are interested make sure to contact us ahead of your courses' starting date as spaces are limited!
