The best way to start out in carpentry is to enrol on an NVQ Level 2 Carpentry Course.

Would you like to start a career in carpentry? Or just looking to add to your skillset? The Carpentry Courses we offer, including the NVQ Level 2 Carpentry Course, will give you everything you need to be ready for real-world work.

Our carpentry courses are hands-on learning, both practical and theory. The course will reflect reality and will provide you with an experience that will be very similar to work you will do on site.

An NVQ Carpentry Course is a reflection of trade competence, and cannot be achieved here at our training centre. Instead, when you have completed the 8-week and you’re in employment we will send an Able Skills assessor to your place of work!

During the course, you will be taught all the necessary skills and knowledge. We have no doubt that once you leave Able Skills you will be able to find work within the carpentry industry. You will gain a City & Guilds Certificate on this course and be ready to take on the NVQ.

Today’s Carpentry Courses:

Today people are getting some practical experience here at our facility, the best way to learn is to get stuck in! These students are on a variety of different Carpentry Courses ranging from new starters to those who are looking for advanced skills.

We have two instructors here working in the carpentry unit that will help you along, giving you guidance and answer any questions you may have. We are open 7 days a week and our courses are flexible, which is great for people who can’t get time off work etc. You can take the course over weekends as an alternative.
