Here at Able Skills it is business as usual. We are continuing to provide high-quality training options for our students 7-days-a-week! The Electrician courses that we offer are taught by experts in the trade who have years of experience both teaching here at our centre and working out in the industry themselves. This City & Guilds Combined Level 2 & Level 3 Electrical Course option is a great way to start working towards a new career it combines the two main electrical qualifications into one discounted package. Both our City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical courses are 7-weeks in total and involve a real mix of both hands-on practical experience and classroom-based theory lessons. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain the right qualifications for the Electrical industry from a trusted training provider. Currently, we have spaces available on this course starting on August 2nd as well as 13th of September as well as weekend dates in February!

How does this course work?
The course works by taking one qualification after another starting with the Level 2 course. Once you have completed the entire 7-weeks of training and the relevant exams you'll then start on the Level 3 course which again is 7-weeks of training and will require you to complete assessments both online tests taken in our dedicated exam room as well as some additional practical aspects. To help make this training as trouble-free as possible for you, Able Skills will provide you with all of the training material required including the recommended text books. We will also provide you with a free tool-kit which is yours to keep once the training is complete.
What's next?
Before you can start working as an electrician there are a few other topics you'll need to cover after this 14-week combined course. These include things like the 18th Edition also known as the Wiring Regulations, these are essentially the guidelines for electricians to ensure that work on electrical installations is controlled to a nationwide standard and ensures that these jobs are carried out safely. We offer 18th Edition courses over a period of 3-days that aim to help you gain familiarity with the layout, content and application of BS 7671:2018 - 18th Edition Regulations. You will also want to pick-up some knowledge on Inspection and Testing through something like our Level 2 Inspection and Testing course.

You can also visit our centre in person to book courses and ask questions, just make sure you are conscious of social distancing guidelines. You are also completely welcome to visit our centre in person, no need for an appointment, you can simply walk into our office unannounced. Whilst here we can discuss the training options available in more detail and even take you on a guided tour around our centre so that you can see for yourself what we have to offer. Our office is open 7-days-a-week between 8:30 - 16:30!
If you live outside of the local area then you may be interested in our accommodation. We offer accommodation to our students for the reasonable price of just £20 a night! All of our properties are within a short walking distance and the properties will provide you with your own fully furnished room with washing facilities and TV. There are several bathrooms/WCs as well as fully fitted kitchens and a dining areas to eat and/or meet your fellow students. If you are interested make sure that you contact us with plenty of time before the start of your course as spaces are limited!
