When talking with every student here at Able Skills we find that they come from all walks of life to train with us. Whether it is a new career or just an upgrade of skills, they all come from different backgrounds for the same purpose, to learn.
Our electrical courses are without doubt our most popular option of training with more people than ever before training to join the electrical industry. Current student, Ben is on the City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course as he looks to begin his new career in the electrical industry.
Ben, like many others, is making a huge career change and is completely going into something new. For over 5 years now he has been working in an office based environment with logistics and sales. However, after a long and hard thought he decided it was time for a change and a new challenge. Having enjoyed technical tasks and hands on challenges, Ben decided the electrical industry would be the best route for him in the future.
He has currently booked the Level 2 and Level 3 package. With both courses being 7 weeks long, Ben has quit his job to fully focus on his learning and making the best start to his new career. Eventually he plans to come back and complete his NVQ and AM2 here at Able Skills in the future.
So far, Ben has thoroughly enjoyed his training experience with us. He had high praise for all the advice and information he has been given from staff during his time here. Ben also had a good mention of his instructor, Trevor.
In the future Ben has his aims set on getting experience within the electrical industry, while looking to come back and achieve his Gold Card status. He is also aiming to becoming self-employed with his own company further in the future.
