Able Skills Electrical Courses are City & Guilds Accredited

This week students will be in the centre completing the third week of their Home Study Electrical Course - one of the several Electrical Courses offered here at Able Skills. Taken live, the above video shows students in on their selected practical weeks chosen by them. This makes the course that much more flexible as we give students the power to pick and choose when they wish to come in to learn the practical aspect of their electrical course.

The live video shows students carrying out metal work which is a critical aspect of the trade. Here's a breakdown of the 3rd week on such City & Guilds accredited course:

Practical tasks to include:

  • PE/08: Steel cable tray techniques
  • PE/09: Steel trunking, basic techniques
  • PE/12: Preliminary steel conduit
  • PE/13: Steel conduit power installation
  • PE/14: Site skills (time permitting)

Students will have one more week left of practical training and will only come back to the centre once they are up to scratch with the theoretical elements of the course. Giving students an irreplaceable City & Guilds qualification, it makes for the perfect course for anyone looking to begin working on site. What's even better is that you don't have to have any previous experience within the trade as first timers are heavily welcomed!

When booking the Home Study Electrical Course, students will be sent a home study pack containing everything they are expected to learn. Again, a massive advantage of a course like this is that you really do learn at your own pace and you can even keep your existing job!  If you would like to find out more about this course or even anyone one of our other Electrical Courses, please click here.
