The Tile Association (TTA) has announced a record breaking month for clicks on its website in October 2012. The site attracted 998,494 hits last month, raising the group’s profile considerably.

The success is thought to be down to its new advertising campaign which has appeared in a number of high profile magazines and publications, including Ideal Home, Good Housekeeping and Grand Designs.

The popularity of the Association’s website is great news for tile companies and the tiling industry in general. Each of their TTA’s members has their own page in its online directory and hits on this area of the website account for 68 per cent of the visitor activity. The directory averages some 60,000 hits per month.

On of the tiling firms that has its own directory page is RAK Ceramics. The firm’s general manager, Kevin Jackson, told Tilersforums.co.uk: “One of the main aims of the Tile Association is to make tile the preferred choice of customers in the domestic and commercial market.

“The high volume of traffic TTA’s website received following the consumer campaign shows that we are continuing to achieve this goal.”
