Why is the 18th edition important?

The 18th edition is just necessary when looking to gain ECS Registered Electrician status - the wiring regulations affect everybody in the electrical industry, the IET Wiring Regulations is the essential publication for all professionals working in the electrical industry that forms the national standard to which all new and amended electrical installations in the UK are to comply. It is not mandatory by law but is the standard of the industry and you will struggle to find advantageous work without this knowledge.

Our training:

Our 18th edition course is 3-days in total and is completely classroom-based. The course will help you to gain familiarity with the book itself, the layout and how to apply the theory into your work on-site. We are the best place around to get up-to-date we have been in the teaching game for over 10+ years now and we know how to convey information to our students effectively. Our course is aimed at practising electricians, electrical contractors and those who require to have a good working knowledge of BS 7671. We will provide you with as much guidance as we can, looking at wiring regulations and their application through explanation and worked examples. We will ensure that you are fully prepared for the City & Guilds 18th Edition test which is a 2-hour multiple-choice, on-line examination. The exam is 'open book', meaning that you will be able to look up wiring regs and refer to the 18th edition book during the exam process.
