Here at Able Skills we are making a return from the 8th. Many of our courses will be getting back on track including our 18th Edition courses for those in need of training on the topic of wiring regulations. We will still be making sure that we are providing a safe and reliable space for our students with safety measures in place. Currently, we have spaces available on both the 15th and 22nd of March!
18th Edition courses with us are classroom-based and taught over a period of 3-days.
What is the 18th Edition?
The 18th Edition is the newest version of the Wiring Regulations. These are a set of guidelines that outline the safest practices for installations and forms the British standard for the installation of electrical wiring and is considered to be one of the most important documents for electricians in the UK. Anybody working with electrical installations should have a goods working knowledge of this topic.
How does the course work?
This course is entirely classroom based, it introduces wiring regulations and covers their application through explanation and worked examples. You'll be taught by our instructors who are experts on the subject and have been studying and teaching the 18th edition since its release back in July 2018. After the 3-days of studying it will be time for the exam. The exam is is a 2-hour multiple-choice, on-line examination. The exam is 'open book', meaning that you will be able to look up wiring regulations and refer to the 18th edition book during the exam process.
