What makes our Home-Study Plumbing course so popular?
Here at Able Skills, we have been teaching the trade of plumbing for over 10+ years! We know what it takes to go from a beginner level to working out in the industry professionally. Our courses are hands-on training. Our instructors are experts in the trade and know the subject inside out. There is no better place to train, our instructors are fully qualified experts with years of experience developed during their time both teaching and working on-site. Everything you need will be provided for you when you study here at our centre, we just ask that you bring some concentration and a pair of steel toe cap boots.
Now, let's talk about our Home Study Level 2 Plumbing Course and what makes it such as a popular choice for our students. After talking to our students and receiving feedback we understood that not every candidate has the time to commit to a full-time course that could last as long as 7-weeks. So...we devised some alternative training methods, once of which was weekend training - which is still available to our students on a two weekends a month basis, which hopefully gives some candidates the ability to gain some quality training on the weekend.
The Home Study Level 2 Plumbing Course is another alternative training method and is completed in 3 sections. Firstly, you will be provided with some resources: Our 'Home-study pack' and access to the online learning platform 'SmartScreen' - With these two tools you will be able to learn all of the theoretical aspects of this City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in your own time. Next, you will book 4-weeks, which are up to your discretion, during which you will need to come to our training centre to learn the practical side of plumbing and actually develop the skill via hands-on training. Finally, you will complete a practical test and you will also undertake on-line multiple-choice exams to test all of the theory that you have learned at home.
For people who have an existing job and are looking for another avenue to go down, it can be difficult to take the time to train, take in the information and develop. Whether it's family commitments or simply struggling to find the time these options can be a great help and will eventually afford you a new career, so get involved!
