Able Skills Electrical Courses are City & Guilds Accredited

Yesterday saw not only the start of a new week, but to a new City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course. As a whole new wave of students began their journey here at Able Skills, we wanted to find out a bit more about why they're here and how we're doing as a course provider, to make sure we provide everything possible to secure a bright future.

In a conversation with bright prospect Miles Clarke, one of the latest students on the Level 2, we find out that what exactly made him switch careers and enroll on such electrical course. The first thing Miles stated was, 'it's time to move on'. He explained that he's a roofer by trade and has been involved with such work for 15 years.

In addition to his roofing work, Miles also dealt with solar panels as the world cries out for renewable energy. He said at first it was picking up but that soon died down. It was at this point when Miles turned to becoming an electrician as he knew about the money that can be made in such industry.

Why Able Skills?

Well funnily enough, Miles explained he was doing some roofing work nearby our centre in Dartford when he saw one of our vans drive by. He approached the driver and asked where exactly we were based and soon enough, he came into reception and asked for a look around. Being happy with what he was told by our staff and what he saw of our facilities, Miles soon enrolled and he tells us his first impressions are 'so far so good'. He complimented our facilities again and has been really impressed by the teaching.

One thing you have to keep in mind is if a course provider doesn't hold the capability of actually teaching you how to work practically in the real world, then they are simply no good. That's exactly why we make sure all of our instructors hold tonnes of experience within their field, and Miles got exactly that on his Level 2 Electrical Course.

Miles told us he would definitely recommend us to others and plans on doing the City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Course after gaining on site experience. Miles is one of the many students undergoing Electrician Courses here, all with a unique story. Our aim of such stories is to encourage more aspiring tradesmen out there to go for what they really want. If you would like to find out more about the Electrical Courses we offer, please click here.
