Industry professionals who have approved electrical qualifications could benefit from job opportunities during the second phase of redevelopment of Wirral town New Brighton.

The £35 million second stage of the Neptune Developments project is set to get underway before Christmas after contractor Bowmer & Kirkland was appointed and will see a new Travelodge, cinema, Morrisons supermarket, a watersports training centre, bars, restaurants and a new model boating lake being built.

Neptune Developments director Rob Mason said: "We hope the start on site will be a great Christmas present for the people of New Brighton and we would like to thank everyone who has offered their support to our proposals, including Wirral council."

Work opportunities could become available for tradespersons who may be needed to provide electrical and plumbing services in the new structures.

Earlier this year Neptune Developments' Mann Island scheme won Regeneration Development of the Year at Property Week's North West Property Awards.
