This package of learning will take you through the entire process to achieve Plumbing and Gas qualifications which will lead to you being able to register with Gas Safe as a competent gas engineer. If you want to become a qualified Plumber then this industry recognised entry level 2 will be your starting point. You will start with the very basics and progress to a comprehensive understanding of domestic plumbing covering both theory and practical to enable you to work successfully as a Plumber.

This short intensive course is ideal for those of you who want some basic introductory plumbing skills or for individuals who want to gain an insight into the plumbing industry with a view to progressing further and achieving qualifications.

City & Guilds 6035-03

This course is designed for those of you that have completed a Level 2 Plumbing qualification. This complete level 3 plumbing course will cover aspects of design and complex heating systems and will also provide the knowledge required to move forward into the gas industry.

Learn Advanced DIYPlumbing Skills in 5 Days

An ideal course if you have basic plumbing skills or have attended our introductory plumbing course and would like a better understanding of cylinders, water tanks, feed & expansion tanks and running flow and return from boilers.

City & Guilds 6218-03

Able Skills own Introductory plumbing course has been recognised by City & Guilds as being proficient enough to warrant certification so if you would like to cover the content of this 5 day Introductory plumbing course but be awarded a C&G Certificate instead of an Able Skills certificate, this option is for you.

City & Guilds 6035-02 - Home Study Option

If you want to become a qualified Plumber but your lifestyle doesn’t allow you to commit to structured patterns of learning then maybe this Home Study option is the answer. Learn all of the theory from our very comprehensive Plumbing manual and then when you are ready and at your leisure, arrange to come to Able Skills for required On-line exams and practical training and assessments.

If you are already working as a Plumber but have never achieved a Plumbing NVQ then Able Skills has Assessors in place who can visit you at your place of work to establish your competence, give guidance on portfolio completion and help you on your way to achieving a Plumbing NVQ.

Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems has for many years been known as Unvented or G3 certification however the new Approved Document to Part G of the Building Regulations now applies to ALL domestic hot water storage systems. This course is for installers who wish to install Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems and join a Competent Persons’ Scheme which will allow the self-certification of installations.
