Able Skills is an approved training provider and has accreditation to offer qualifications on behalf of: City & Guilds, Construction Awards Alliance (formerly CITB), NICEIC & EAL for Domestic Installer qualifications and Logic Certification for gas training.

Due to our management of quality, we have achieved ISO 9001 certification and are also associated with IPHE (Institute of Plumbers and Heating Engineers).

We are in a position to cover every aspect of construction training and can provide courses to teach you to whatever level you choose to go to.

Our various Training Centres all employ full time Instructors, Assessors and Internal Verifiers and equal facilities are available to everyone, regardless of whether you train with us on a short term basis or longer for the purposes of gaining a qualification. We are open 7 days every week throughout the year and all courses run every week without fail. We have the largest and best training facilities in the UK but we also have the correct amount of staff in place to cope with the demand for training and to deliver the courses in the correct manner.

All Able Skills staff are time served tradesmen with recognised qualifications within their field of expertise. Additionally, all staff employed by us have also undergone the relevant training to provide them with the correct teaching and assessing qualifications and additionally, the qualifications required to internally verify that all training undertaken at Able Skills is done to the high standards imposed by our Governing Bodies.

We pride ourselves in the quality of training we provide and value for money is our number one priority. Our aim to cater for everyone is recognised by the very fact that we have every conceivable option for training available. We can cater for DIYers, people requiring qualifications, we offer weekend courses and interest free payment plans. There isn’t any reason why your personal circumstances should affect your ability to obtain quality training.

When you consider your training options, investigate fully what is being offered to you.
Your entitlement to quality training is equal whether you are training for 2 days or 10 weeks. Paying for training can be costly but worth every penny if the end results are good results. If a Centre has recognised approvals then they have a quality assurance procedure in place; this will ensure that there are excellent standards across the board and that your course is delivered to the correct specification.

It will also give you somewhere to refer to should you not be happy.

This is a bold statement but we are confident in what we do and very proud of our results so far.
We have successfully trained many people who have moved on to become employed or self employed within the construction industry, additionally, we have also had many students move onto qualification training after having attended 2 or 5 day short courses because they have enjoyed their time with us and learned so much.

Able Skills has enjoyed providing training for people both Nationally and Internationally. It has been established by those people that we are worth travelling for. There are many short course Centres available around the UK without recognised approvals, but if you are adamant that you want quality and value for money then the distance doesn’t matter, we will give you the skills that you are searching for.
If you train at a non accredited centre then your options to move forward with them and gain qualifications are non existent. In short, a Centre providing you with the option to gain a qualification is your best option by far because you can be sure that you will be getting what you are paying for.

We aim to offer the best possible services. We can also cater for people already working within the industry but lacking qualifications, we do this via the Experienced Worker Practical Assessment (EWPA). We provide after course support to all students, this can include Business start up packs, emails with queries or calling us 7 days every week between the hours of 07.30 am to 07.30 pm, there is always someone on hand to help. We are the preferred training provider of one of the biggest colleges in the UK and we also supply training to large and well known companies who are looking to upskill their staff. We cater for service leavers, people facing redundancy and those of you looking to dramatically change your career. We have worked hard to obtain this recognition and our main aim is to continue in this manner and we are always looking at different options to offer more.

We do consider that we are the best at what we do and as such, we encourage all potential trainees to visit the training centres, We do not require that you make an appointment, we prefer you to come unannounced so you can see the reality and honesty of what we do. Come and chat with our instructors, speak to ongoing students and receive expert advice and course coordinating from Able Skills office staff. We do not employ salesmen tactics, we let you decide if Able Skills is where you want to train and we are quite confident that if you shop around, which you should, you will be happy with what we have to offer.

Everyone is welcome to train at Able Skills regardless of gender or status. The majority of the training courses available with us are entirely hands on and as such, suitable clothing is recommended and for your own safety, protective footwear is essential.

No experience is required in order to take part in most training courses provided by Able Skills.

All Able Skills tutors are extremely approachable and patient; our tutors will guide you through your course, willing at any time to explain areas you feel unsure of, they are there to ensure you leave your training fully competent in the area you have chosen to study.

We want you to feel comfortable whilst you train with us as we feel this helps the learning process. We can promise you a great atmosphere within the training environment and guarantee you will leave having enjoyed your time with us.

Able Skills offers training 7 days per week throughout the year, including most bank holidays, and as a result we are able to cater for everyone wanting to learn a construction skill regardless of their circumstances.

Travel & Accommodation:

Able Skills is easily accessible by road or rail.

We are situated on the A2026 Victoria road, 5 minutes from Dartford mainline station and the town centre. Dartford train station is accessible from Charing Cross, Cannon Street, Victoria and London Bridge.

There are excellent road links to surrounding motorway networks: - M25 junctions 1a and 1b, A2, M2 and M20.

Should you be travelling by train, an Able Skills representative will be happy to collect you from the station upon arrival.

For people travelling longer distances, Able Skills can provide reasonably priced accommodation on request or at the time of booking.

We can arrange B&Bs or Hotels within an affordable price range and within easy travelling distance from the training centre
