Without a doubt, the most popular training courses here at Able Skills are our electrical courses. From the Level 2 & 3 courses to the shorter courses like 17th Edition and Inspection and Testing right through to the domestic installer courses; our electrical centres are always full.

You may have many reasons why you’re retraining and looking to become an Electrician; however….

  • How do you decide where to train?
  • How do you decide which is the right centre for you?
  • What are the important factors in your decision-making process?
  • What will make the difference to you?

Here are some reasons why we think Able Skills stands out from the crowd and why you should choose Able Skills for your electrical courses.

  1. Industry Recognised Qualifications

Able Skills is approved by City & Guilds for all the electrical qualifications that we have available here. Gaining the right training and achieving the right qualification is extremely vital when starting a new career in the Electrical industry. City & Guilds electrical qualifications are industry recognised as well as internationally transferable. Potential employers will be looking for that familiar C&G logo when they are looking through your CV and examining your certification.

  1. Materials Provided

When you book the Level 2 & 3 electrical courses with us at Able Skills, we will provide you with the City & Guilds books that support C&G 2365-02 and C&G 2365-03. In addition, you are provided with regular handouts and also access to Smartscreen – this is an on-line learning/self-assessment resource which you can access from anywhere and at any time. We will provide all materials for all practical activities, readily available and always well stocked. In addition, we provide access to the very latest Megger test equipment. The biggest selling point here and something that no other centre offers is a FREE CK Tool Kit. This CK Tool kit is yours to keep after your electrical course and is the perfect set of tools for use once you are working within the electrical industry.

  1. Quality of staff

At Able Skills we truly believe that we have the best Electrical teaching team in the UK. We have worked tirelessly to secure the right people for the kind of electrical course delivery that we want here. We will not deny that we have made some mistakes along the way but those that don’t suit our model tend to not last very long and those that do will stay forever. We have individuals who have worked in FE Colleges, individuals who are straight of off the tools and those that have worked for other training providers. We have guys with military backgrounds and those that are so clever and talented that we are overwhelmed that they have chosen to work for Able Skills. The professionalism of all the electrical team here is something that we are very proud of; equally, it has also ensured that we continue to be an IET Centre of Excellence.

  1. Open House Policy

Here at Able Skills we don’t hide anything. We have an open house policy and welcome visitors Monday to Sunday at any time of opening (08.30 – 16.30). We do not require you to make an appointment, just turn up and any of the office staff will be able to show you around and answer any questions you have – this centre sells itself.

By turning up unannounced gives you a chance to see exactly what the training is like on a day to day basis and you will see first-hand what to expect from the course you are considering.

We do not employ a sales team at Able Skills; we do not chase leads, we wait for the phone to ring from those of you who have an interest in attending an electrical course and from there, we give you current information and up to date availability. We will not hound you by making constant calls or bombardment of emails – we will leave you to decide if Able Skills is where you want to train to become an Electrician. If you have done your research on training providers, you will be aware that some centres will contact you constantly and potentially sell you the wrong electrical courses.

  1. Busy Courses

The electrical courses at Able Skills all run very frequently but we are a very busy centre and everything we book is set months in advance – this should if nothing else, reassure you of our popularity. Whether you are considering full time attendance, part time at weekends or even attending for the practical aspects of a home study course, we are booking months ahead.

We take pride in the fact that we are booking as far ahead as we are because if you can get on to an electrical course with little notice, you really should ask yourself why?

We believe that we are worth the wait and that attending a course at Able Skills will get you to the point within the electrical industry that you are looking to attain. You will not be making a mistake if you book with Able Skills – we are entirely confident of that.
