It's been a fantastic week so far here at Able Skills and especially in our plastering centre. Lots of students pushing on with their qualifications and more students have started their plastering courses with us this week.
We are seeing lots of people across all the trades deciding to train with us as they look to start new careers in the construction industry. One reason that has pushed this increase is the ongoing skills shortage in the construction industry. More and more workers are required on a weekly basis to handle to demand for affordable housing.
Plasterers are extremely vital on building sites, with lots of plastering jobs going on in newly built homes, Plasterers are in high demand. This is why we are seeing a high level of students coming to our centre on the longer qualification courses. With City & Guilds qualifications and NVQs, options are endless with our plastering courses.
This week with have been catching up with some of our students on our plastering courses as they work through the variation of tasks needed to gain the qualification. We have students on our short DIY courses to much longer City & Guilds qualifications as they look to get the skills they need to meet their personal targets.
