Ready to start a new career this Summer in the electrical industry?
If the plan for a new career in the New Year didn’t really go to plan, then no need to worry we have electrical courses running throughout the year. Even better you can start training in the summer month of June and get training on the level 2 course straight away.
We offer various electrical packages on the route to becoming an Electrician at Able Skills and we are now taking bookings for the 5th June. Our most popular package available is the Gold Card Package, which allows our students to take every course needed to become a fully qualified Electrician.
Each package that is available starts with the Level 2 Electrical course, this is a seven-week course that is the perfect starting point for anyone looking to join the electrical industry. The course is a mix of theory and practical training and assessments, along with several online exams. We also offer the 17th Edition, which is a mandatory part of your electrical training.
The Gold Card Package begins with the level 2 course and then you will go onto a week where you complete the 17th Edition and PAT Testing, which is optional. Following this the level 3 course will begin, which is also seven weeks long, however, it is more theory based.

After the two big courses are completed our students will then move onto the 2394 and 2395 Inspection and Testing course, this is a five-day theory course followed by two written exams that are both two hours long. Once both exams are passed you will book in to complete both practical assessments in our training centre.
Once all courses are completed and passed you will then be registered for the NVQ and you must complete a portfolio and several site assessments which are carried out by our assessor. Finally, you will move onto the AM2 Assessment at the AM2 Dartford Centre.
