Electrician courses at a social distance!

We are back to providing electrician courses daily here at our training centre. Returning after lockdown has gone smoothly due to the preparations we had made, we want to make sure that we are providing a safe and reliable space for people to learn and develop without feeling unsafe in any way. Measures such as PPE being used throughout the centre, reduced numbers of students, separated workstations, separate equipment, increased cleaning and hand sanitation stations as well as some other subtle differences to the way we operate. Thinking about a career as an electrician? Let's take a look at our courses and the best route of training for an aspiring electrician...

Electrician courses at a social distance!

Where do I start?

No experience? If you have no experience at all then you may want to first gain an understanding of the absolute basics, you can achieve this through our Introduction to Basics Domestic Electrics - This is a 10-day course that will give you a feel for the fundamentals of what an electrician does on a daily basis, the basics of installation and generally act as a tater of the trade as a whole and an opportunity for you to know if you want to continue to pursue a career in the trade or not before jumping into a more lengthy course.

Some experience? If you have some experience or you are completely confident that you want to become an electrician, then the best way to go about it is to first take on our City & Guilds Level 2 course - This is where you'll really gain the theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on skills needed in this role over a period of 7-weeks. From there you'll want to take on our City & Guilds Level 3 - This is the next logical step and will move into more advanced aspects of electrical installations and electrical tasks as a whole over an additional 7-weeks!

What now? Now that you have a solid understanding of the trade you'll need to gain an understanding of the wiring relations also known as the 18th Edition! This is the guidelines for electrical installations and helps you to know what is expected as the industry standard for safe and working installations. We run a 3-day course that will help you to gain familiarity with the layout, content and application of BS 7671:2018 - 18th Edition Regulations.
