Keeping our Electrician courses free from Covid-19!
Here at Able Skills we have been back providing Electrician courses since the end of August. We remain open and keeping in line with government guidelines which currently state that you can continue to travel to venues or amenities that are open for education, but should look to reduce the number of journeys you make where possible. We are doing our part to ensure that we are providing a clean and reliable space to learn and develop electrical skills during this pandemic. As you can see in the video below, one way that we are doing this is by using our fogging machines to disinfect training areas after use. Additionally, we are reducing the total number of students at the centre at any given time, removing tables from classrooms to keep students separate, giving out face coverings as well as having hand sanitation available throughout the centre.
We will be keeping up to date with the latest changes in the coronavirus restrictions and making relevant changs as and when the situation develops. As it stands right now we are continuing to provide electrical training on a range of courses from Introduction to Basic Domestic Electrics to our more advanced courses such as our Level 3 Inspection and Testing courses. The courses that we are offering currently are of the same standard they have always been. If you are looking to become an electrician the starting point should be our City & Guilds Level 2 electrical course, however, due to how many people are seeking new opportunities we are fully booked until the 17th of May! If you want to get started before then you can always take on our 'Home-Study option'. This is a great alternative and will allow you to get started learning the theory side of the trade at home through our 'Home-Study pack' before attending the centre for 20-days of hands-on practical experience and exams.

Alternitaley, you are completely welcome to come and speak with us in person, we have an open-door policy and encourage aspiring traders to come down and see for themselves the great work that we do here and the quality of teaching we provide. In person you can speak to a member or staff and even take a guided tour around our facilities. We are open 7-days-a-week between the hours of 8:30 - 16:30 all year round!
If you live a considerable distance from our training centre here in Dartford, Kent on the border of London then you may have already thought about staying in a hotel in the local area. We actually offer our own accomodation to our students. Our accommodation is available for just £20 per night - The properties will provide you with your own fully furnished room with washing facilities and TV. There are several bathrooms/WCs as well as fully fitted kitchens and a dining areas to eat and/or meet your fellow students. If you are interested make sure to contact us with plenty of time before your starting date as spaces are limited!
