What does this package include?

  1. Introduction to Domestic Electrical Installation and Understanding Electrical Installation and Applicable Building Regulations: 10 Days
  2. C&G 2382-18 (18th Edition): 5 Days
  3. City & Guilds 2392 – Level 2 Fundamental Inspection and Testing: 5 Days

The aim of this training package and these 3-courses is to ensure you have a full understanding of how to safely install domestic electrics and meet the requirements of competent persons (https://www.competentperson.co.uk/) scheme providers to register on to their Domestic Installer scheme however, if you do not have a history of undertaking electrical installations, you should work on gaining some experience before registering.

Upon Completion – scheme registration.

Various competent persons scheme providers will have different entry requirements and ways of assessing your competence, so it is advised that you consider contacting your preferred provider ahead of booking a course to confirm their requirements. Some scheme providers will require evidence of practical experience before progressing your application. Some may also test your competence with an online knowledge assessment to ensure you have the required understanding to progress your application. We do recommend that complete new entrants work with an experienced electrician to build up experience.
