Need to change your career path? Electrician courses!

This is a strange time for all of us, however, it looks like we are slowly getting back to normality. Many people's employment situations would have changed in the last couple of months. If you are looking to kick-start a new career then you're in the right place, here at Able Skills we have been providing Electrician courses for over 18-years! We know what it takes to go from a beginner level to working out in the industry and our expert instructions can help you get there. So, what is the best course for somebody starting out?

Tools and Materials will now be provided individually to students as a precaution as well as many other changes to our centre.

Where do I start?

Well if you want to get a taste of the trade before taking on a full-time course then you should take a look at our Introductory course which will give you the basics and a chance to know if the trade is for you and something you could see yourself doing in the long-term. IF you are confident that you want to begin a career as an electrician or already have the basics down and want to continue learning then there is no better option than our City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course. Over the period of 7-weeks during this course, you will slowly progress from the basics to more advanced aspects of the trade.

What's next?

This City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course is also the gateway course to achieve and gain all of the skills needed to become a competent and well rounded professional. Once you have completed this 7-week course and the relevant assessments, you may wish to consider beneficial add on courses like 18th Edition or even PAT Testing or maybe progress to  C&G 2365 level 3 - if you book the level 2 and level 3 together, a discounted price will apply. Following the completion of level 3, you may want to try Inspection & Testing qualifications which will teach you essential skills that are in demand within the industry. If you have work immediately, we can assess you for NVQ level 3.

Electrician courses

Workstations were usually used by 2-students at a time, however, we are now giving individuals their own space to work.

Is the centre safe?

Obviously, the Prime Minister yesterday announced some very drastic changes to the lockdown here in the UK. With the 2-metre rule being reduced and so on. However, here at Able Skills we take the health and safety of both our students and staff very seriously and have been working hard to ensure that we are doing everything we can to provide a reliable, clean and safe learning environment. We already have social distancing measures in place; keeping students separate, fogging the entire centre, hand sanitiser located throughout, PPE, lower numbers of students etc. We will continue to adhere to the government advice and aim to provide a helpful and effective space for students to develop their trade skills.

Still not sure?

We offer a Home Study Electrics Level 2 as well that is a great option for electrical training. This option allows you to start learning at a social distance. In fact from the comfort of your own home, you can begin learning the theory side of the trade. You will receive the home-study pack after applying, study it, attend the centre for the practical side and complete assessments. During the time of studying at home, you will have access to the online learning platform 'Smartscreen' as well as the comprehensive study pack and will have contact information for an instructor if you have any questions or become stuck at any point. Once you are confident you understand the materials provided you will then attend the centre for 4-weeks to learn the practical side and complete assessments. We hope this alternative training method is useful to you.
