First of all, we cannot believe the first month of 2019 is over already! However, another month ending means it’s time for our monthly prize draw to pick our January ‘Student of the Month’. The lucky winner for January was electrical student, Simon and he will now have the option to use his voucher for a course or a set of tools.
Each month we are now drawing out a name from the hat of students that have trained with us in that month. This is to give something back to our students and to give them a great start with their new skills and even their new career. Simon extremely proud to be chosen as student of the month for January.
Simon has completed a number of training courses with us at Able Skills, starting with a week in our Plastering centre last year, to then taking on our Domestic Installer Electrical Courses. He is now even thinking about coming back to complete one of our Plumbing Courses this year!
Simon is actually an ex policeman! After wanting a change of career, he decided to undergoing construction course training and work towards what he believes will be a more enjoyable career. Here's what Simon had to say prior to completing his Inspection and Testing Electrical Course:
“I've undertaken a plastering course and I'm currently working my way through a domestic electrician course at Able Skills. They cater for everyone from complete beginners to experienced professionals looking for recognised qualifications. I came into both courses as a complete novice and the level of teaching was catered for everyone, allowing learners to go at our own pace. With amazing support from the tutors, by the end of the week I was competent to undertake work out in the real world.
