Additional Info

Individually these are 5 day courses but as there are generic units, combined, the course content for both can be covered in 5 days. These are entirely classroom based courses and you will undertake an on-line multiple choice exam at the end of the course which is generic to both qualifications. You will then come back to Able Skills to sit either 1 or 2 exams which are each 2 hours and are closed book so you really need to know your stuff!. You currently have the choice to sit the closed book exams (NOT multiple choice) either online (at any time after your training) or a written version (which will take place on designated evenings). These exams are externally marked by City & Guilds and we are expected to wait 2 weeks for the results of the online option but up to 8 weeks for the written version. We will notify you in writing of the results and at this stage we will also discuss your options for coming back in to undertake the practical assessments assigned to these qualifications. You may also wish to consider our 1 day practical Inspection & Testing course first! The recommended reading material for this course is Guidance Note 3.
