That's right, we are open 7-days a week here at Able Skills! We offer some selected weekend training options for all trades that we offer including the following...Electrical, Gas, Plumbing, Carpentry, Bricklaying, Plastering, Decorating and Tiling. We understand that not everybody has the time in the week to commit to a full-time training course. So for those of you with limited time, an existing job, for example, hopefully having the chance to gain some new skills on the weekend is a great alternative for you! When it comes to the level of qualification, you will be able to achieve the exact same City & Guilds or Bpec qualifications, the only difference is that each course will take slightly longer to complete over a series of weekends as appose to during the week, Monday - Friday! - Let's take a look at the electrician courses available on weekends and how to get enrolled...

Listed above are just some of the courses that we offer on a weekend-basis. Yes, you can complete our biggest collection of electrician courses the Gold Card Approved Electrician Package over a series of weekends! Attending our centre for 2-weekends a month you can slowly but surely gain excellent practical skills and theoretical knowledge on almost every subject relating to life as a fully-qualified electrician. This course will teach you to become an electrician from scratch...The program is the most all-inclusive package there is when it comes to training towards being an electrician that can work on-site, the package includes the following electrician courses; City & Guilds Level 2, City & Guilds Level 3, PAT Testing, 18th Edition, Inspection & Testing also known as 2391 courses and an AM2 assessment!

How do I enrol onto the courses?

Enrolling with us is easy and can be done in a few different ways. Firstly, you can enrol onto any of our courses, electrical or otherwise by giving us a call on 01322 280 202. Alternatively, you can walk into our office, we are happy to talk to aspiring electricians at any time, feel free to pay us a visit unannounced and we can get you enrolled in person. Finally, you can enrol online, through our website. Enrolling through our website is easy, find the course you want to apply for and look for the green button labelled "Reserve my Space" you can even click the links throughout this article to get started - Simply select your starting date and fill out your information. If you come across a course you are interested in and the button is marked "Please call 01322 280 202 to book" that simply means that there are some entry requirements for that specific course and that we would prefer to speak with you over the phone.

Want to gain some experience first?

If you don't have any experience at all in the trade but you are interested in an electrical career then you may want to gain the fundamentals and have an opportunity to get a feel for the course. Our Introduction to Basic Electrics will act as a taster and a chance to know whether or not you want to pursue a career in the industry. The course is 10-days in total, unfortunately we do not offer this course on weekends, however, if you are not sure about committing to a lengthy course then this could be a valuable time to know for yourself if you enjoy the practical aspects of being an electrician. Our instructors are amazing and will guide you the whole way!
