The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has said that good progress is being made on the Olympic Park site in east London.

New infrastructure is being placed on the site in a move that will benefit the area long after the games are finished.

Simon Wright, the ODA director of infrastructure and utilities, said: "As the main venues make their mark on the Olympic Park skyline, we are also seeing the essential new infrastructure that will link them together taking shape.

"These new networks of roads and bridges are already transforming the once fragmented Olympic Park site, creating new links for construction activity."

The structures, bridges and highways being constructed are the largest construction project that the ODA is delivering.

A number of constructions being built on the Olympic site in Stratford require people with all kinds of skills, ranging from plumbing to bricklaying.

Recently it was announced that Mears would be fitting out the plumbing at 300 apartments at the Olympic Village.
