A new study of the plastering sector suggests there is likely to be a lot of changes in ownership occurring, which may provoke people take plastering courses to ensure they have the necessary skills to impress new bosses.

'Industry Analysis - Plastering Contractors' was put together by Plimsoll Analysis and suggested one in six companies in the industry are likely to experience such an alteration in the boardroom.

Workers may decide that plastering courses could give them the edge over competitors, since the author of this research David Pattison claiming there are at least 90 businesses in a position to take over other enterprises due to their cash reserves.

"We analysed the UK's leading 835 companies, which are rated each on their acquisition attractiveness. This will tell you which companies are set to be buying and which are exposed to takeover," he added.

Last month, the Jarrow & Hebburn Gazette revealed a group of apprentices in the north-east of England recently completed their training in plastering and are now working at South Tyneside Homes.
