18th edition courses

An 18th Edition Course Pack at Able Skills.

Ways that you can complete this course:

Through training towards being an electrician:

Well, as having an understanding of the 18th Edition (Wiring Regulations) is essential for everybody who works with electrical installations this course is typically included in all of our paths towards profession work, these include; Domestic Electrical Part-P Package for those looking to become domestic installers, Advanced Domestic Electrical Part P Package and the Gold Card Approved Electrician Package for those looking to become fully qualified working outside of a domestic setting. These are our all-inclusive packages, meaning that they include all of the training that you need when looking to work in either of these roles, having a solid understanding of the regulations is really important and necessary if you want to be successful and in accordance with the industry standard.

Taking the course on its own as a working electrician:

We teach a 3-day 18th Edition course for those who are already working as an electrician who has not updated their knowledge on the wiring regulations either since the earlier 17th edition or simply need a refresh. This course is completely classroom-based and is intended to ensure that on completion of this course, individuals are conversant with the format, content and the application of the requirements for electrical installations that are laid out in the regulations. This 18th Edition Course will focus on how to utilise the 'Blue Book' itself as to complete this course you will sit an online, open-book exam here at our centre.

We also offer a 1-day update course If you have passed your 17th edition (C&G 2382-15) since the last amendment was published and still have a good memory surrounding the regulations then you can take this shorter 1-day 18th edition update course. To take this course though you must make sure that you do have a solid understanding of the old regulations as this course will only focus on the new changes presented in the most recent version of the wiring regulations, yet will still include questions in the exam covering the whole book.
