So, you've completed our City & Guilds Level 2 course? Wondering what's next and what further knowledge you need to turn this training into a successful profession? We have a full range of Electrical courses at our centre, meaning that we offer everything you could possibly need on your journey from novice to professional. Our instructors will help you to progress through a real mix of both classroom-based theory sessions and hands-on practical experience...The next logical step from Level 2 would be our City & Guilds Level 3 Electricians courses - This is where you will really gain an understanding of the trade and learn more advanced tasks and aspects of electrical installations, the industry and the role itself...There are many differences routes to take in this line of work, we intend to give you a solid overall ability and understanding of electrics...

Progressing with Electrician courses? What's next?
Our City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical course is an industry recognised route for Electricians looking to achieve that next level of electrical knowledge and skills, providing an advanced understanding of electrical science, inspection & testing procedures, fault diagnosis and rectification and installation design. Now that we have social distancing measures in place at our centre students will have individual bays to work within, our facilitates are clean, convenient and stocked with all the tool & equipment to really gain a real-life understanding of what life as electrical entails; how to identify problems and how to overcome the challenges you'll face on the job efficiently. This course is also 7-weeks of training, concluding with assessments taken here at our centre.
What additional training do I need?
As an aspiring electrician, you'll need to understand the way that installations should be carried out as the industry sees fit. The industry standard is known as the wiring regulations. Our 18th Edition course is a 5-day program, entirely theory focused and will help you to gain familiarity with the layout, content and application of BS 7671:2018 - 18th Edition Regulations. You will also want to understand portable appliance testing, We offer a variety of PAT testing courses at Able Skills in an attempt to cover the requirements of both experienced electricians and those with non-electrical backgrounds.
