Trades are not going anywhere, people within the trade industry have job security because people will always need the help of Electricians, Plumbers, Gas engineers and so on. Gas Engineers are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing pipelines and gas appliances for residences and businesses. There are many avenues to go down once qualified and registered with the Gas Safe Register - The job roles vary a lot because almost all properties will need gas appliances. They also earn a very decent living, the average salary is £37,000, engineers can expect this salary to increase with more experience and years in the industry. Additionally, with this trade, there is always the option to become self-employed!
Where do I get started?
Getting started is simple because we have organised packages of training that include all the steps you need to start working. These are comprehensive and all-inclusive packages. For example, our New Entrant Gas Training Package 2 includes everything you need to start out; 7-weeks of hand-on learning, portfolio completion and an ACS assessment - all of which are required to become a Gas Safe Engineer. Our instructors will help you to cover all of the topics in both a practical setting and on theoretical aspects. They are experts in the trade and will give you additional advice and lessons they personally learnt out on the job giving you a real insight into what professional life entails. While the job may seem straightforward on the surface, the dangerous nature of gas requires a meticulous professional that is aware of safety regulations, procedures, and the complex networks of appliances. Because there is a lot of danger involved in the trade it is important that you carry out tasks correctly, which is why our course includes some real assessments to make sure you are competent with what you've been taught, you'll also need to prove it through the portfolio section of the course and finally to the Gas Safe Register when you apply, which is a legal requirement here in the UK.
