People studying on electrical training courses may be interested in a new form of home heating.

A new system developed by FARHO is energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly thanks to its low electricity consumption, according to the manufacturer.

Gareth Bishop, UK sales manager for the firm, explained the way it works, pointing out that it heats a thermal liquid, which is able to transform low-energy input to high-energy output.

He noted 110 watts of input results in 150 kilocalories of output, or the equivalent of 74.7 watts of energy.

Mr Bishop commented: "It's eco friendly, doesn't consume much, doesn't burn. It's non toxic, non corrosive. The actual unit is completely eco friendly."

He added the company is currently in talks with the Carbon Trust over accreditation.

According to AMA Research's report on the UIK Domestic Heating Market a variety of new eco development opportunities are emerging in the market, such as integrated solar thermal heating solutions.
