Advanced Bricklaying Courses from Able Skills
Able Skills has designed this 5 day advanced bricklaying course for people who have completed ourintensive bricklaying course and want to take things a step further.
Our total hands on approach guarantees that throughout your training time at Able Skills you will be on the tools continually laying bricks. Having years of experience, we know that this is the best method of teaching available.
The advanced bricklaying course will teach you how to build more ornate brickwork with finesse. This course will show you how to angle bricks by cutting them with different tools so that you can create an even joint throughout that piece of work.
Other different areas of work you will be taught will entail:
- Building archways
- Conservatory bases
- Swoops,
- Ornate pillars
- Birds beak detail
- Soldier course with tiles
- Spiral pillars
- Fire places
You will be able and confident to tackle any of the above mentioned projects by the end of your 5 days.
Again, if there is any area of bricklaying that you specifically wish to cover, we will do our best to accommodate you.
At Able Skills, we try to make all training as accessible to everyone as possible. If you are interested in attending a Bricklaying course but have work or other weekly commitments, we offer bricklaying training over 2 consecutive weekends. Please visit our Weekend Bricklaying page.
At the end of your Bricklaying course you will receive an Able Skills Certificate of completion and you can also have a portfolio and photographs of the stages of the work you have carried out during the period you have trained with us; this may assist you in gaining employment at a later stage.
This is a hands-on, practical course and you will be involved at every stage and will be participating throughout the course. It is therefore recommended you bring suitable clothing and for your own safety, steel capped footwear is essential. All tools and materials will be provided throughout your training period.

Courses are held Monday to Friday. Weekend training is Saturday and Sunday
