Some people may have a misunderstanding of what fast-track training courses are. Some people are stuck within the mindset that apprenticeships are the right way to learn a trade. In fact, fast track, intensive Electrician training courses here at Able Skills are a perfect way to learn the trade, gain the knowledge and practical skills you need in order to achieve your electrical qualifications. Today we want to talk about how our students are taught, why training centres are ideal and how we structure the process of helping somebody learn to become an electrician from scratch!

Electrician Apprenticeships involve a mixture of academic study and practical on the job training. Students at our centre are taught both practical skills and theory knowledge, with hands-on practice being our main focus. Generally, an apprenticeship would take around 3-years to complete! During that time you will be shadowing a professional on the job and slowly working towards your qualifications...

When learning to become an electrician here at our training centre, you could go from novice to industry ready in under a year! You'll learn from somebody who has worked in the industry for many years and has now learned to teach the trade as appose to somebody who has no real teaching experience. In addition, you will be able to gain real-world experience within our workshops. The electrical workshops at our centre include all of the newest equipment, appliances and materials you could possibly need.

We offer high-quality training and have been doing so now for 20-years! We have excellent results in terms of helping people re-train, learn new skills and kick-start new careers. It goes without saying but the time difference when comparting the two options is phenomenal. A fast-track course takes far less time than an apprenticeship, not only does this mean you are saving valuable time and money, but it also means that you can begin working and earning much sooner.

Electrical courses

People may argue that you wont learn enough during a private training course. This statement is ridiculous. The feedback that we receive from students is that they feel completely confident and comfortable in the industry once they leave our centre. Apprentaships involve a lot of observation and very little hands-on training. A fast-track course constantly involves learning about theory and is very hands-on, so that the skills you learn are put into immediate practice.

What do our previous students think?

"I was told about the training centre via a friend of mine. Personally my most important factor was high-quality training and getting some experience. Overall everything that was taught was really helpful and allowed me to understand electrical systems in a way that was easy to understand as a person who is new to the industry. The course is great and would be helpful to anybody interested in learning the trade." - P Bhandare

"I did all of my electrical training at this centre. All of my training has been great, whenever I have struggled the instructors are always there to help and seem to have unlimited knowledge. This AM2 process has been challenging, however, the refresher day put me at ease and made me feel more self-assured going into the exam, the teacher Neal is great, always on hand and very encouraging." - C Knight
