Can I do the course part-time?

Many of our courses have a choice of two options: weekdays, Monday to Friday is full-time training, and weekends are the part-time option. For added flexibility, we offer pay-as-you-train modular courses and home study courses.

All prices are clearly listed on each of the course pages – there's no hidden costs. Courses can be paid in full upfront or on a pay-as-you-train basis. Read more about funding your training.

Will I get work after doing a course?

We can never guarantee that people will find work with their newly learned skills. However, we don’t get people calling us up and saying I’ve done a course, and I still can’t get work.

How long will it take to get qualified?

This will depend entirely on the sector and your own goals. Contact us if you have any questions about what qualification you need and how long it might take. We can give you a detailed answer based on your circumstances.

When do the courses start?

We have course start dates throughout the year. With eight different trade subjects running simultaneously, as well as part-time and full-time training options, it's best to check the availability on the course page as this has live booking availability or give us a call.

What are the entry requirements?

As a private training provider, we don’t have pre-requisites such as Functional Skills that some Further Education establishments have. Some of our courses do have specific entry requirements. For example, before doing a Level 3 course, you will need to have done a recognised Level 2.

Are all the courses City & Guilds?

In addition to offering a wide range of City & Guilds trade courses, many of our own in-house courses have assurance from City & Guilds. This recognition highlights the high standard of our training.

Can I come and look around?

Yes! We welcome visitors to the centre any time we’re open. Our open house policy means that you can simply turn up; there’s no need to make an appointment. Come to the office first and one of our staff will happily show you around. You’ll be able to see courses as they happen and ask any questions.
