Welcome to Able Skills complete electrical training package, providing you with Three Electrical Qualifications.
Able Skills has devised an electrical training package to cover the requirements of domestic installation and Part P. At the end of the courses students will have a sufficient level of competence, so that once registered with a relevant body, they will be able to work safely, efficiently and legally on electrical equipment having obtained the required electrical qualifications.
With the introduction to a change in the building regulations, most electrical work in houses must by law, be notified to the local authority building control. The exception to this is where the work is undertaken by a competent person who is a member of a Governing body and is registered onto a Part P Scheme.
A competent person is someone who is approved by one of the governing bodies approved by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, this is known as the Part P Scheme; the scheme does require that you can prove competency, and upon registering onto a scheme, you will be assessed by the governing body you choose. To register onto a Part P scheme you are required to have knowledge of domestic installation and a relevant qualification which determines that you are competent and able to safely work on electrical equipment in the home. Persons registered with the Part P Self-Certification Schemes will be qualified contractors with the ability to thoroughly check a circuit for safety. They are required to issue an Electrical Installation Certificate that complies with Building Regulation requirements when the work has been completed.
In order to reach your full potential and fully meet the requirements of the Part P scheme, practical abilities will be required to be updated and an understanding of terminology and basic electrical theory. Whether you have a non electrical background or have limited electrical knowledge, we can provide the required electrical training to bring you up to speed.
Our electrical instructors have a vast knowledge of both domestic and commercial electrics having spent years working out on site and within the electrical industry and additionally taught in Further Education Colleges. They have now transferred that knowledge to our training environment and have also obtained the required teaching qualifications to enable them to deliver our electrical courses in a correct and informative manner. Our instructors are very approachable and understand fully the complex nature of electrical installations. We have been delivering these courses for a number of years now and we are confident that we have mastered all electrical training requirements.
