carpentry coursesWhen in a learning environment we often hope the course includes material composed by those who have genuine experience within the field. Here at Able Skills, not only do we hold a 4:1 student to instructor ratio on our Carpentry Courses, but one must consider the quality of tutors when guiding students on their path to a long and successful career. With exceptional experience held by our instructors accumulating of over 100 years, they provide expert advice and knowledge on where the industry is heading and how the course material can be tailored to such needs. One of our students Adam Hassan soon realised this as he explains all in his below video review of his time here at Able Skills.

This has ultimately lead to the creation of the City & Guilds Accredited Carpentry Course. Such course is specifically designed to ensure students hold the latest skills and what better way to be taught such material by none other than people who hold real life experience in the trade. Being exclusive only to Able Skills, there is simply no where else who can offer such student to instructor ratio alongside such an incredibly designed course.

Spanning over 6 weeks, students can expect to become competent in the following areas:

  • Fixing architraves and skirting
  • Constructing and fixing hatch linings
  • Fitting locks and latches
  • Constructing studwork with opening
  • Constructing and installing door lining
  • Hanging a door
  • Fitting floor joists and installing floor coverings
  • Installing and bracing trussed rafters
  • Setting out and cutting one pair of common rafters

Please note that although the course is 6 weeks in duration, any student has the right to select which weeks they want to learn. Able Skills are more than happy to provide this course over a period of time that best suits your needs and doesn't limit students to learning over 6 consecutive weeks. How does that sound?
