dubaiDubai remains one of the most talked about places in the world. With many sites to see, there is often a calculated process behind each and every building helping Dubai live up to the luxury that many associate with the thriving City. Many take the thought behind such City for granted as none of us would necessarily realise just how booming Dubai's construction industry really is.

Construction services firm Turner & Townsend conducted research on Dubai which tells us the City isn't shy went it comes to continuous improvement. It's said that major global events like the Expo 2020 Dubai have massively contributed to infrastructure investment giving all the more reason for tradesmen such as Electricians, Plumbers and many more to head over to the luxurious area to find work.

Able Skills were fortune enough to be invited to speak with several contractors and developers in Dubai as discussions are in place to see how we can help tradesmen develop the necessary skills to meet such high demand. Gary Measures (Able Skills CEO) said:

When speaking to local contractors here we all agree that the demand for skilled tradesmen is incredibly high. Talks to see what we can do have been very productive and we look forward to what the future may bring.

With Dubai being a massive tourist destination, you can imagine the budget held to attract more and more visitors year by year. But what makes all of this possible? Tradesmen! So if you're looking for work overseas, how does Dubai sound? Just make sure the Construction Training Courses you undergo come with the correct certification! For example, an Electrician Course for a new Entrant, something like the Level 2 Electrical Course is City & Guilds Accredited, just like our Level 2 Plumbing Course is too!

Why do we stress so much importance on City & Guilds? Because such certification is recognised world wide allowing you guys to travel and work at the same time!

Here what Alan Talabani, managing director for Middle East at Turner & Townsend had to say:

Governments across the Middle East are taking active steps to diversify their economies and move away from their reliance on oil. This is a long-term challenge and, for the moment, oil prices remain the most important factor influencing capital investment decisions in the region. As prices return to stable levels and the region prepares for major events such as the Expo 2020 Dubai, both governments and private investors should focus on the opportunity to drive better outcomes from their investment plans.
