How Able Skills Can Introduce You To The Plumbing Industry!

Plumbers are often stereotyped as people who just work on drippy taps and toilets, however, this isn’t always the case! Plumbing can often be an exciting and varied job where you meet a lot of people, work across a range of projects as well as getting a sense of achievement when you manage to fix the problem that you are presented with. Here at Able Skills we often welcome a variety of people from all sorts of backgrounds. We often have students through our doors who are looking to change careers.
The video above is of one of our Plumbing groups who are working towards their City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing Qualification, on this course we have a wide variety of people coming from different backgrounds but the one thing that they all have in common is that they want to get into the Plumbing Industry. Some of our students attend our courses to gain the knowledge of their chosen industry simply because they are interested in it and want the skills to be able to save some money when it comes to work in their own home, however, a lot of people who come through our doors are looking to change their career. On this Level 2 course that you can see above, we have a student who was once a Manager at one of the UK’s leading supermarkets but needed a change in their life and career. People’s motivations are always different and no matter if you are changing your career for financial reasons or you are looking for a better work-life balance, there will always be a course for you at Able Skills. In addition to this people often come and complete a course with us at Able Skills and then decide to complete some further qualifications either in that same subject or with some of the other industries that we cover. A common cross-over is those who come and start up on our Plumbing Courses often go on completing Gas Courses with us because the two are very closely linked.
If you would like to view our training centre for yourself please feel free to come to our facility located in Dartford where one of our team will be happy to show you around and show you some students at work. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have regarding the courses that we offer here at Able Skills.
