There could be signs of more women attending plastering courses, after a source claimed that ladies are doing more DIY jobs around the house nowadays.

Home improvement expert Francesca Gamble suggested it has been a growing trend recently that females are taking more responsibility when it comes to making changes to a property.

It could be that an increasing number decide to have a go at plastering courses, since Ms Gamble noted that ladies will try their hand at any DIY task.

She remarked: "I just think women, whether they are living with a partner, with friends or on their own, are taking more of an active role in doing DIY themselves."

In her view, there is no difference between the sexes in terms of the sort of projects they can tackle around the house.

A recent study by the thecaliforniacompany.co.uk found that 67 per cent of women do DIY and nine out of ten own a power tool.
