Have you considered an NVQ Level 2 Plastering Course?

Already completed a plastering course? Maybe you've completed a City & Guilds Plastering Course and you're still looking to gain some experience and understanding through training?

You should consider taking an NVQ Level 2 Course, it is not so much a training course like one of our traditional plastering courses. This particular course is in place for the sole reason of helping you prepare for an NVQ. It will be an extra 2 weeks on top of the traditional City & Guilds Plastering Course during which you will learn the following units:

  • QCF 641 - Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
  • QCF 642 - Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
  • QCF 643 - Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace
  • QCF   66 - Producing Internal Solid Plastering Finishes in the Workplace
  • QCF   67 - Producing External Solid Render Finishes in the Workplace

Supported by TWO optional units from:

You'll be able to choose exactly what you would like to study for these final two units, it's up to you from this list of options:

  • QCF 65 - Applying Finishing Plaster to Background Surfaces in the Workplace
  • QCF 68 - Installing Direct Bond Dry Linings in the Workplace
  • QCF 69 - Laying Sand and Cement Screeds to Levels and/or Falls in the Workplace
  • QCF 70 - Applying Projection Plaster and Maintaining Equipment in the Workplace
  • QCF 71 - Installing Mechanically Fixed Plasterboard in the Workplace

We offer a range of diffrent plastering courses, from Introduction to specialist courses on specific aspects of plastering such as Dry Lining or PAREX External Wall Insulation Training. We have a host of courses to suit your needs.

An NVQ or National Vocational Qualification requires a test of on-site competence, you will need to be in employment in the industry already... we will send out an Able Skills assessor to your place of work. You will be judged based on a set of criteria that you will learn during your time on the course so that you are prepared to be successful in this test.

By registering you for NVQ, you can also gain access to a CSCS Experienced Worker or Trainee card (if you arrange independently to sit a CSCS test) – this will further enhance your access to work.
