Able Skills are urging all gas engineers to make certain that they hold all the relevant certificates as criteria changes to Gas Safe registration are coming into effect soon.Gas engineers must achieve a certificate of competence for Combustion Performance Analysis (CPA1) before April 1st or they will not legally be able to work on central heating boilers or space heaters.

These changes to Gas Safe registration criteria means that any engineer with the CEN1 (central heating boilers) and latterly CENWAT or HTR1 (space heaters) certificate will need to ensure that by April 1st that they also hold the CPA1.With the deadline date looming, it is vital that engineers act quickly and arrange for the CPA1 assessment because it can take up to six weeks for the successful completion of the assessment to be downloaded to Gas Safe Register. If this news concerns you, then get in touch with Able Skills as we deliver the CPA1 award at both our Dartford and Bradford gas training centres with the course costing ?
