Plasterers are needed both domestically and on-site to deal with the current skills shortage in the construction industry.

The current skills shortage in the construction industry is causing a real problem amongst building work because they are unable to find the skilled workers to complete the work available.

However, this offers a fantastic chance for people that want a new and exciting career opportunity. If you are looking for a new career then when not consider the construction industry as the work is currently available due to more and more building projects being planned across the UK.

Instead of sitting in an office for the rest of your career, why not retrain and start an active career within the construction industry?

Plastering is a perfect way to start a new career, at Able Skills we run plastering courses every single week and also at weekends, so there is always an opportunity to start your plastering training. We have been running plastering courses since day one and have been busy ever since. Our plastering instructors are well equipped and experienced to give you first class training to achieve the right qualifications that are needed to go out and work in the relevant areas.

Spencer has been one of our plastering instructors since Able Skills began and he has years of experience working as a teacher and working as a Plasterer in the UK and abroad, so he brings lots of knowledge and experience for his students. Jo is our second instructor and he has plastering in his family and has years’ worth of experience to offer to his students. It is safe to say you are in good hands when taking a plastering course at Able Skills so be sure that you will achieve everything you want.

If you are already an experienced Plasterer but you don’t have an NVQ then we have the perfect route for you to take to achieve the NVQ. The experienced worker route will allow you to have a profiling session with one of our assessors where you will have to provide five years’ worth of evidence working as a plasterer. Once the assessor is happy with the evidence you have shown, you will then come in for a one day timed assessment to prove all your skills, this will then allow you to achieve an NVQ Level 2 and apply for a CSCS card to go on site.

Also, we have a full NVQ course that allows you to complete all your training and achieve an NVQ at our centre in Dartford. We also have City & Guilds courses that allows you to gain the skills and qualifications to be able to work domestically as a Plasterer.

If you are wanting to change your career then you are not alone at Able Skills. Every week we have lots of ex-policemen/women, black cab drivers and even bankers coming to our centre to train. People are starting to see the benefits and opportunities of working within the construction industry.

Contact us today on 01322 280202 and we can talk you through all our plastering courses.
