Young people may be inspired to take plumbing courses after it emerged that baronet Sir Roddy Llewellyn's daughter Rosie is set to take up the profession.

Sir Roddy described how it could be "rather useful" to have a plumber in the family and told an audience at the launch of Susanna Johnston's novel Muriel's Reign that he is very proud of her, reported the Mail.

This choice may inspire confidence in other young people to take plumbing courses and pursue a career in the industry.

The aristocrat was quoted as saying: "She was saying she didn't know what to do with her life and I happened to mention a plumbing problem at the house. Before I knew it, she had fixed it."

Sir Roddy now owns and operates a landscape gardening company based in Warwickshire, with the baronet claiming that his eye for proportion helps him to transform green areas.
