plastering qualificationsWe offer a range of plastering qualifications that are accredited by City & Guilds and are the perfect starting point for anyone looking for a new career path. Our newest qualification is our own accredited course with has been accepted by City & Guilds.

Our plastering instructors have devised the bespoke programme of training which they feel, based on their work experience, meets the needs of the industry. This course is specifically designed to ensure that candidates have the skills that are current and essential to secure work. This bespoke course has been examined and accepted by City & Guilds and we are now able to offer this as an officially accredited City & Guilds certificated programme of learning and is exclusive to Able Skills.

This is a 6 week course that will provide you with in depth training to cover several areas of essential plastering. You will be assessed throughout by our qualified Plastering instructors, building a portfolio of your work as you go. This course has been put together specifically to provide you with the skills that we think you will need to source work and continue working. A great deal of thought has gone in to developing this training programme as we feel at Able Skills that some of the qualifications that are available, simply do not meet the requirements of the industry or the requirements of the student.

For those looking to cut the skills shortage and work on-site then getting an NVQ would be the next stage to this.

Plastering is one of the trades that is in high demand for workers. Plasterers are needed on building sites up and down the UK and due to the lack of NVQ qualified Plasterers it means that house building is being stalled. With plastering being a huge part of all new house builds it means that more and more workers are being required for every site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for a new start in the construction industry to get training. Here at Able Skills we offer a variation of routes for people to get the NVQ they need to work on building sites as Plasterers. Whether they are new entrants or time-served Plasterers that need to become NVQ qualified, we have the routes available.

Everyone needs to start somewhere and those completely new to the industry will need to gain a City & Guilds qualification that will allow them to move onto the NVQ. All of which is available here at Able Skills in Dartford.
