C-TEC’s new CT1 sealant and construction adhesive is one of the most versatile new products in its field.
The product is labelled as the most extensively researched and developed sealant and adhesive on the market, and succeeds in bringing together a range of different substances into one all-purpose product.
The company said that it was the case that a different sealant would have to be used for different tasks: a silicone sealant to seal a bath or shower, an acrylic or anti-fungal sealant for showers and butyl rubber sealants for roofs.
CT1, however, can be applied on a range of surfaces, providing an immediate seal that will not shrink and can be overpainted.
“C-TEC wanted to develop a product to replace all these sealants and adhesives in one product with none of the disadvantages of the sealants and adhesives available,” the company said in a statement. “[We] achieved this task and developed CT1® the Unique Sealant and Construction Adhesives in one tube.”
The product is able to bind substances including stone (including marble), metals, glass and most plastics. It is also almost completely resistance to chemicals, prevents bacteria growth, works in wet or dry conditions and can be used for marine and boating maintenance.
