Design and Verification of Electrical Installations?

Here at Able Skills, we take pride in our ability to produce top-quality electricians via our facilities, instructors and City & Guilds approved courses. We are the number one provider of electrical training in Kent! Probably the most popular trade that we teach and that is down to our extensive range of electrical courses - from getting students up to date with our 18th Edition courses to tackling more advanced courses such our Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing!

We run quite an extensive range of electrical courses. Each course is specifically designed for a different skill level ranging from a beginner level to some of our more advanced courses. Today we will be taking a look at our Design and Verification of Electrical Installations Course - Which is a Level 4 qualification! This course is aimed at working electricians with experience across a wide range of electrical installations and with a thorough and detailed grasp of the Wiring Regulations and considerable experience of inspection and testing. It is a prestige qualification which is reflected in the challenging nature of the course and assessment.

Not everybody can take this course and it is not a requirement in any way for your average electrician. You will need to already be experienced in the trade and hold some relevant qualifications and knowledge such as understanding the latest wiring regulations (18th Edition). This particular level 4 course is only 5-days of classroom-based training. However, the award is assessed via a three-hour written exam set by City & Guilds, which takes place on a separate evening a week or so after the course dates. Structured revision assistance is provided to get you up to speed. You will also need to complete a City & Guilds set design project, for which the minimum recommended time is 40 hours. This is carried out in your own time.
